Smart Ant AIoT Technical Product Page

Overview

A low-cost smart ant concept controlled by mobile app via Bluetooth. It combines playful desktop interaction with practical task assistance for daily study, work, and life management, and fits an AIoT-oriented modular workflow.

Project GitHub: mnios-labs/MNI-Workflow-AIoT. This prototype aligns with the AIoT direction and links to that repository for technical workflow extension, multimodal data integration, and future behavior-analysis modules.

1) Core Hardware (Arduino Version)

  • Controller: Arduino Nano
  • Wireless: HC-05 / HC-06 Bluetooth module
  • Drive: 1 micro motor (or 1-2 micro servos)
  • Mechanism: central crank + dual linkages
  • Legs: flexible plastic/paperboard for elastic rebound
  • Power: 150-300mAh Li-Po battery

2) Motion + Control Logic

  • Gait: alternating left/right leg-group swing
  • Forward: symmetric alternating swing on both sides
  • Turn: increase one-side swing amplitude
  • Stop: motor stops, legs hold neutral position
  • App Command Set: Forward / Left / Right / Stop

3) Low-Cost Implementation Strategy

  • Use cardboard, acrylic laser-cut sheets, or light 3D prints instead of injection molding.
  • Adopt standard modules (Arduino Nano, Bluetooth module, motor, battery) to reduce development overhead.
  • Simplify joints by using elastic leg rebound rather than many articulated parts.
  • Modular rollout: build base locomotion first, then add sensors (obstacle avoidance, light-guided navigation).
